Hi guys. This is all fairly new and it seems a bit ego centric of me to make a new thread just for this :P.

But i was hoping i could find out what you guys thought of this. I'm hoping to enter it in my photographjy society at uni and would like some feedback before i went and got it printed. Any comments would be great be they technical, the idae or just the general feel of the pic.
The theme was film noir and they had a pretty poor turnout so they reset the date to be handed in so i thought id give it a quick shot.



ok that should be the gun with the seam cloned out there now.

Well the first thing I see is the seam in the toy gun. I would clone that out to make it look more like a real gun. Besides that I am not sure what the subject is in the shot. I kinda of get your idea but it is not compelling. Maybe if there was a hand in the blood holding the film? That might make it more Noir.

Just as an example this is my idea of Noir.

I agree with that assement. It seems too random. Even with all the rigth items theres just not a story being told to tie it together well. HTH

hehe yeah forgot about the seam, hard to get real guns over here in britain. I do agree that its not compelling i think i may have been watching sin city and the idea of selective deasturation has stayed with me. There were a couple of other ideas but unfortunately it seems that they may have to be put together when I can obtain some willing models with some free time. Thanks for your thoughts though, they are greatly appreciated, and iv cloned out the seam (can't believe i missed it).

Though i will admit film noir was kinda tough for me as i dont really have much experience in that field of films so i was going by what i could find on the web.
