I can see it now..a bunch of shots in entered into the challenge by people who were stoned when they shot and processed it, and they kept going 'cool, that is so freaky', and all we can see are squiggly lines and blurred movements and ultra close-ups of nostrils, everyone feeling comfortably numb...
I think it is a great idea...
I really do love pink floyd in a sentimental sort of way...

We don't need no education
We don't need no thought control
No dark sarcasm in the class room
Teachers leave those kids alone....

Of course it did, what better way, artistically speaking, to make your "money" song than to sing it about Money and lampoon the very record executive that probably demanded a more radio friendly song?

I went through a phase in the early 90s when I played that song again and again everytime I was alone in my z-28. Oh god, I'm old! lol

"Hello..?"
"Yes, a collect call for Mrs. Floyd from Mr. Floyd
Will you accept the charges from United States?"
"Oh, He hung up! That's your residence, right? I wonder why he hung up?
Is there supposed to be someone else there besides your wife there to answer?"
"Hello?"
"This is United States calling, are we reaching...
"See he keeps hanging up, and it's a man answering."

One of my favorites from "One of My Turns", by Roger Waters:
"Oh my God! What a fabulous room! Are all these your guitars?...This place is bigger than our apartment!"

Into the distance, a ribbon of black
Stretched to the point of no turning back
A flight of fancy on a wind swept field
Standing alone my senses reeled
A fatal attraction holding my fast,
How can I escape this irresistable grasp ?
Can't keep my eyes from the circling sky
Tongue-tied & twisted just an earth-bound misfit, I

If you didn't care what happened to me,
And I didn't care for you,
We would zig zag our way through the boredom and pain
Occasionally glancing up through the rain.
Wondering which of the buggars to blame
And watching for pigs on the wing.

| I always loved that line... isn't that a double negative that you learn not to use in like 5th grade grammar? Could've used that line in the oxymoron challenge. :-) Great idea for a challenge, lot's of possibilities. |

The lunatic is on the grass
The lunatic is on the grass
remembering games and daisy chains and laughs
got to keep the loonies on the path
The lunatic is in the hall
the lunatics are in the hall
the paper holds their folded faces to the floor
and every day the paper boy brings more
Did I mention I love Floyd?
