I've looked at front loaders that are Siemans,Samsungs, LG's, GE's, Whirlpools and Frigidaires. The LG's are the most expensive along with the Samsungs. I found a Whirlpool Duet Sport duo today that might work, as well as a pair of Frigidaires that suited my fancy.
What I really wanted was the cherry red LG but just the washer alone was 1999.00 USD. I don't think so. Just to wash my clothes??? NO way, but man, it was gorgeous.
I also looked at loveseats and chairs. I can't decide if reupholstering the existing one is better, or just try to find a new one.
I'm lucky that I have power though. I feel for you guys up in NY who were without any. Glad your generator saved the day.

I kept wandering into the laundry room to admire them :-) And don't even get me started on kitchen paraphernalia. I have about 20 good knives, I have a couple dozen different pots and pans, a blender, two food processors (11-cup and mini), a mandoline (Ducky likes it), a 40-inch, 2-oven stove, etc etc ad nauseum...

I do believe I saw a picture of that mandoline, and it is a beauty!

Sell your TV and buy the washer, put it in the living room where the TV was and sit back and enjoy hours and hours of viewing entertainment - and much more intellectually stimulating - all while getting your laundry done! :)
I bought a front-loading washer, but just couldn't handle the radical change in orientation, so it is now lying on it's back in the laundry room. :P |

We always seem to end up at Wal-Mart. :( |

Maybe it's time for an "envy" challenge. Or "lust" but that might be a bit much. |

Well, mediocrity is my middle name. My mediocre experience this week. I got all excited to go out and buy closet organizers. So now my coat closet has drawers with hats in one, gloves in another, scarves in another drawer, and three extras for whatever. Then in my bedroom closet, I put a shelf set up and now all my cameras (6 and counting) are all stacked neatly and are real easy to get to. I was so up about my closets that I forgot to take pictures before and after. NOw is that medicre doldrums or what? |
