Just wondering if I should use a polarizer for beach portraits. Pros...Cons???

If the portraits are going to be in direct sunlight or if your background will be water with sun shining on it...then yes...If you are going to shoot in the shade then probably not.

I prefer fill-flash over polarizer for darkening the background of beach pics.

Set your exposure to about one stop under what it would take to shoot the landscape, the with flash on TTL mode fill the subject.

This doesn't work well if you have the subject acing the sun. Angle the subject away from the sun some.
