It got so bad, I turned my scores off so I don't have to see it anymore. And I made sure that I met the challenge well before I even entered it.

Finished voting and I took a very liberal interpretation of the challenge topic. If the picture was good, then the lighting must have been good and therefore, a key factor of the image. So if your image was decent and didn't look out of focus, you probably got a six or better from me. Those with minor sharpening issues after downsizing for the challenge scored a five or better. Snapshots with sharpening issues a four.

As for my score, sorry to say but most of the voters so far have not been as liberal as me, as I am now on track for a personal brown. I'm not using the hide score option, as I am finding this challenge to be very humorous in a car crash kind of way.

Tim

Edit: There were some very nice artistic shots this challenge that I scored very high. Nice job.

You are the only one I know that gets a 6.5 and it's below your average.

Mine's creeped up a little. If I can hang with De Sousa I must be doing something right!

I just finished voting too. I didn't drop anything below a 4 on anyone, but if the lighting element only served to light up the subject I wasn't too generous. I knew this was going to be a tough challenge. I kinda lucked into mine really. I'll explain post challenge.

The obvious choice for a lot of people was sunsets and sun rises. I have to be absolutely blown away with this type to score higher than a 6.

There were a couple of really creative entires that I scored quite high.

I'm not finished voting yet but I think there were several people that felt that if it is a photograph, light had to be present. Therefore, it meets the challenge. I haven't given anything yet that was lower than a 5. But then, on any average challenge, I don't think I give more than two 4's and very rarely do I ever give anything lower than that.

Well if you can see what's in the photograph isn't that assumption true?

Well,

I'm sitting at 4.17xx and the only comment says "Great shot!" I wish people would say what's wrong with it since I obviously have no reason at all for being behind a camera.

I took a long time to prep this shot, had people look at it and they told me it was good. I'm selling my camera and never taking another photo in my life. :(

Was really hoping for a 6+, but there is still time.

I just want to say one thing to the voters: It is NOT sensor dust. I know what it is, and yeah, I wish it weren't there either, but it's basic editing, so there was nothing I could do about it. Just keep that in mind while voting. Thank You.

Getting closer to the 6.0 that I want. I really was hoping to get two sixes this week. I've never done that before nad my "Morning" entry is hooveringa round 6.9, so I think that one is safe.

What is going on with this challenge? I do not seem to be getting much middle ground- when I try to figure out what people are giving me it seems to be either seven (even had a nine early on) or four. Looks like the fours have taken over. I guess it must be a good photo if people either like it or don't. Down to 4.7 now. Only one comment so I do not know what folks are thinking. It is not a controversial image. I think it is the sharpness junkies. I have a slightly soft image for mood.

Maybe not. I just picked up a two and a three without comment! I am not a DNMC picture either! I guess I should have done another pretty sunset with a flower and a bee landing on it. They just have no taste- Hahaha! Maybe they think a one is good?

It may not be DNMC, it may be angry voters voting everything low.
It will pass as the number of votes increases and they become insignificant.
