Anyone using an Olympus VN PC series voice recorder out there willing to do me a favor?

Almost, I'm looking for someone with a PC version. (ex VN-960PC) The PC version has the software to download the recordings to the computer via USB. I can't get my CD to read on any of the computers here.

Yeah, I realized it wasn't the PC version after I posted. I just use the earphone jack to the line in or mic in on the sound card to get it to the PC. I just use it to record phone calls from clients and leads cuz I am a terrible note taker. I could use the PC/USB version though.

Did you check Olympus' website for the software?

Yes, I did. They have the software available for purchase. I emailed them and they said essentially I was out of luck and to buy the software again. I don't want to do that on principle. I don't think it should be charged for, don't think it should be charged for because the CD is unreadable, and when I originally purchased the recorder nothing indicated any special software was required. I owned an Olympus camera at the time and was led to believe, just like the camera, the recorder had USB storage class connectivity not just USB connectivity.
