Thanks-- I thought my connection seemed faster..
Is 1,785 Kbps fast for cable, or is that about normal? |

| That's probably slow. Mine reads 2500 and that is listed as being a fair amount below average. |

| Not really that fast... Mine's 6500 down, 600 up, and even then that's not the fastest service... |

| I use one at Cnet which has nice comparison charts of the different providers. Funny thing there... click refresh in your browser and watch how fast your speed is then! |

| I didn't realize someone was using the net upstairs when I was running on the laptop. The new numbers are 3700 and 450. Not the fastest, but not bad either. |

I had 1 Megabit. I upgraded to "up to 5 megabit", and go 1.3 megabit. Gotta go bust their balls.

I gotta talk to my ISP ....
Download Speed: 749 kbps (93.6 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 188 kbps (23.5 KB/sec transfer rate)
and I'm paying premium prices right now.

Keep in mind I am in Australia...but mine reads at 426kbps(53.3 KB/sec transfer rate) down and 102 kbps up(12.8 KB/sec transfer rate). I am on ADSL. That is the fastest in my area.

Download Speed: 1322 kbps (165.3 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 308 kbps (38.5 KB/sec transfer rate)
Not too bad for the basic DSL service at $26/mo. with sbc. |

I just found this site ZDNet for Aussies and my speed came in at 431kbps.
