I had the funniest thing happen today! I came in from morel mushroom hunting and the phone rang. It was my sister and she was so excited! She said you have got to come over and see these coyotes in my woods. I said I would be there in about 4 minutes and hung the phone up and took off to her house. By the time I get there she’s already in the woods photographing the coyote (there were 5 and 4 took off) so I joined in with my camera. I said let’s move in closer and she said no coyote’s bite and attack. Then I told her I never saw a wild animal so still in the woods and that the coyote was blind in one eye and had been injuredâ€Â¦ She told me she saw the coyotes ear twitch to remove a bug or something...lol all the time we are whispering and being very cautious.
We decided to go back to her house after we got our shots so the coyote could leave.
Come to find out hours later it was her neighbor’s decoy!
This is the funniest thing that has ever happed to me! Just had to share. I was in such a hurry to get to her house I forgot my tripod....

Too bad she didn't call in the alert last week!
I notice the decoy has a "take" of six so far today...

Never did happen to me, but only because a farmer near me has two in his field. :)

Thank you for the great laugh! I teared up it was so funny! It reminds me of the event I posted here a couple of weeks ago where I so carefully took a photo of some fruit up in a tree at a lake. The fruit really intrigued me because it was the only fruit on the whole tree, and at a strange time of year. When I uploaded the photos into PS, I discovered that it wasn't fruit at all, it was some sort of fishing bobble.
