I've only been around long enough to enter 1 challenge and my photo was roasted alive...oh well... looking for some critique on these to images.

Actually for information sake. the girls was behind a frosted glass shower door in the first place... the effects on it were actually quite low grade, mostly for the colour effect. if you were to look at the original (which I would post but I'm at work...lol) you would see that the essence of the picture remains preserved IMHO.

Why would you want to take a photograph, then murder it in Photoshop so that it is alomst unrecognisable?

In which case, it has the unfortunate circumstance around it that it appears to have been the victim of agressive filtering.

IMO the problem is the filters are low grade. They do appear to be very simple to do and also make the photo appear garish aside from that there didn't seem to be much photo to work with in the first place. Yes it is behind the glass and yes she in the shower there is no real point of interest in this photo to me as none of it is clear.

Just a 2 minute photoshop job to show you what might happen if you turned this image black and white. You could probably increase the contrast a lot to achieve more like what you did in the original images you submitted, but without the filters to completely alter this image.

Steps:
Channel Mixer
Levels
Curves
USM
