I've been looking at some webcams and I'm not convinced there's sufficient color in the southern adirondacks yet. I could be wrong.

But I am now thinking of making the trip (not much farther) to Southern Vermont instead. The Green Mountain region seems to be reported as in Peak. Any ideas for some good photography not too far from Bennington?

Any suggested locations for:

Covered Bridges surrounded by beautiful foliage?
Foliage near nice waterfalls, streams?
Good vistas to shoot from?

Also, if someone in the area is interested in meeting up to shoot, let me know, and we'll see if schedules mesh!

I never went south too often when I lived there. Around Rutland there is some okay stuff - a few really good hikes that would show some decent color. Although my family there says that it's just sorta' a dull year for color in VT.

I used this page when I shot some of the bridges in and around Rutland. Maybe it will be helpful to you, too.

If you decide to head to mid-state, let me know, and I'll post some details on stuff around there.
