Could I join? I don't have any pets down here with me at school in San Diego... however... I volunteer at an animal center and i also always end up at the dog beach... so for me it'd be "the oficial 30 day other peoples pet protraits"

It took about 50 shots, but I finally got him to sit still for about 10 seconds. This cat is a major spaz! Probably the best shot I'll get out of him. |

Days 5 & 6 (cheated, took them both today)
The pugs, guinea pig, and I have made it to Alaska! Not to our final destination yet as that is another 4 hours drive and I'm tired. We're spending the night in Tok, AK, and tomorrow will finish our journey to Wasilla.

Day 7 is from an obedience trial I photographed today. Couldn't use flash and it was indoors, so I'm not entirely happy with the result. Any suggestions on how to improve this (or shoot it better in the first place) *greatly* appreciated!

What a lovely shot! It reminds me of a Norman Rockwell painting. I did a quick edit. With the original, you should be able to come up with something nice. Here's my go at it.
PS It may not hurt to blur out the stuff in BG, too.

I thought about blurring the background ... will have to play with this some more when I have time next week.
Thanks for the ideas :-)

Hey, this is fun. I enjoy having my camera out every day. Here are my days 5 and 6. There are so many cute pets out there. Glad I am not the only one who is NUTS about mine! I took some photos of a huge spider yesterday but decided that I could not consider that my pet so I stuck to my crazy cat.

Not even a week into it and I'm already getting behind... both in commenting and posting.
Here is Day 5:
3 of our Bouviers taking a break from doing what they enjoy doing:
And here is Day 6:
