A voting scale that is colored like this? Maybe people wwill stay out of the red :-)

I actually think the yellow/orange portion migh get me to vote more 4's than I do now.
If you move the colour scale to the right then you will simply compress the top end of the scale. The people on the new average will still complain about the lack of comments and the 'average'ness of the score.

How about we fade the left part to transparent that way voters can't figure out where the low vote buttons are. :P
Btw, the colors should go from brown to blue to match the ribbon colors.
