Saw a cmmercial for this digital camera built for kids. Seeing all of the parents that want their kids started in photography in a safe, inexpensive way, this looks very nice, especially with the ability to directly submit to dpchallenge, as it captures VGA resolution.

"Two-eye viewing which makes it easy to look through the viewfinder"

I'd like that on my 30D!

ALthough rather nicely built, I'd imagine the quality of a camera with such low pixel count and resolution would be a disappointment to most parents who would most likely want to do more then webview the photos. I know I personally print alot of my sons photos he takes. And I'm not real good with math, but I'd say thats likely a 1 or maybe 2 mp cam at best. And you can get a decent 4-5-6 mp p&s for $70 and in reality a decent one will take a little beating and still be OK.

it's a 1mp camera... probably right out of an old cell phone. how do i know? my wife bought my son one a couple months back.

yeah, the photos arn't great, but he's not quite 3 yet and this is a fun way to get him started. unfortunately, it doesn't have a date/time stamp, so no dpc for him, as it could never be validated.

as for the stereoscopic viewfinder, some of the neighbor kids picked right up on that, but i had to show my son how to use it... he kept wanting to just look through w/ one eye like daddy and mommy do. hehe...

it'll take about 50 photos before the internal memory fills up, but it does have an sd card slot. my wife got a 512mb card for free after rebate and now it'll take 4,000+...

there are a couple photos in this post from his website from his camera, if you're curious.
