I know a lot of people have the Razr V3c's in this world and I was wondering if any of you guys have been able to connect to your computer to tranfer image and video files?

I've tried motomodders and howardforums with no avail. I own a mac and a pc and I can't get it to work on either. It's getting just a little frustrating.

I'm trying to connect via a usb cable. I would use bluetooth...but I don't have it. Ugh.

Oh...and I've tried connecting with Bitpim, Mobile Phone Tools, and several P2K programs. None of which have worked.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Caleb

Havn't tried WMP yet....although I'm not sure if it would work. My pc reads the phone as a modem instead of a phone...but I guess thats how it is supposed to be for some of the P2K programs.

All I want to do is get pictures and videos off of it. Sooo hard. Sheesh.

I don't know, I've never tried to connect mine with a USB cable. Bluetooth works like a charm though. :) You can get a bluetooth adaptor on newegg for something like $10.

I found a program on ebay called Mobile PhoneTools Lite Version 3.11d, and it works just fine. I just looked at zipping it up to post it, but it is a HUGE file. I think I might have paid $15 for it, and it transferred images just fine. It also allowed me to manage my address book on my desktop. Good luck.

You can't download/upload songs and/or photos onto your phone. There IS a program that allows you to do it. But, if Verizon is your carrier, you can't do it.

Added: That goes for the Motorola Razor V3C. Any other phone, I wouldn't know.

I have a Samsung A930 with Verizon and have uploaded songs to my phone. Can't do anything with songs through bluetooth.

I just got my razr from Verizon and they sold me a software package to install for songs and pictures.... I haven't done anything with it yet (since i just got it), but I'm assuming you need the software to do anything...

I think my problem has to do with the drivers...Does anyone know which one I should use for Mobile Phone Tools?

I downloaded a drivers package that came with like 6 different ones....ugh.

I think I'm just going to invest in bluetooth, it seems like it is worth it and I'm sure a lot of cameras will have the capability to transfer with it in the near future.

I was in your same position and finally figured out how to transfer pictures (any file for that matter) from my motorola V3C via bluetooth to my MAC! Check it out.
At work I was doing some cell phone video samples for various clients and I really got into using Bluetooth to transfer the video files. On the PC I downloaded BlueSoleil (free) and used a Microsoft Bluetooth dongle to transfer the files. It worked great. At home I have a Mac and I wanted to do the same thing... so I bought a $20 bluetooth dongle and tried to transfer the pictures on my V3C to my Mac. It didn't work! After much chagrin took the dongle home to try it on my Mac - success.
-Here's the secret: I bought the Microsoft Bluetooth Dongle off of Ebay for $5 and I was able to transfer files between my Mac and V3C flawlessly!!! The dongle is kind of hard to describe but here is a link to a picture:

If that doesn't show up, the dongle itself is a blue plastic thing about the size of a key and says Microsoft. It sits upright in a gray "dock" that says Bluetooth. They connect to each other by mini usb. The gray dock thing has a really long usb 2.0 cord that connects to the computer.
I think it's part of a wireless keyboard and mouse combo, but it' the only thing that works. I also did what this guy said FYI.

I tried it before I got the microsoft dongle and nothing happened so I don't think it makes a difference. Good luck!
