Here's a laptop edit and my first try at a pano. I may have missed a few nicks and bumps, plus a few other things due to glare issues on the laptop but other than that, what's your overall impression?

edit:papagei-I can't really see the blend flaws from where I'm sitting. I used PSCS2. If I ever do it again, I'll take about 20 plus shots of that same area with a better tripod other than the one I used.

I love this shot - growing up in the area :) Seems you'll need to hand-blend some areas there. Which program did you use to stitch/blend?

I've been putting my Hawaii panos together using PT GUI as a front end for Pano Tools, but the file sizes are huge!

Um... what're those two tall buildings on the left side?

Those are the new Time Warner Towers. They house the Jazz part of Lincoln Center, a huge hotel and a shopping center etc. They're really nice looking imo. I'm suprised you missed them from where we met at Columbus Circle...right there.

It's just that they look remarkably similar to the WTC. I thought maybe you were stitching an old photo.

Oh, but now I see the Intrepid, so it's obviously the Hudson.

Yeah...I took it from the Jersey side but they do look like the WTC.

Shez-Thanks for the comment. This was just a trial effort to see how it was done and my guess is that there are a million and two of these on the market. I'd like to revisit it all with better equipment (monitor, computer, tripod, etc.)as this was rushed in every way. Shame about the size limit because the detail is pretty good.

a light sepia version

I wonder how this would look after a big snow storm???

bump

I was curious how to best blend the color differences (like when a cloud passes by the sun?) and how many images would have been best for a pano this wide?

Also, what software you use and why? PSCS2 seems to work well but am I missing something?
