When scrolling using the middle mouse button, it moves up and down in little jumps instead of smoothly. Occasionally I'll notice a weird optical illusion with patterns where it appears to grow and shrink, like on this shot:


Anyone else see that?

It does that for me, too!

One of my pictures does the same thing:



I wonder what causes this?

Scroll set to 3 lines at a time.
Effect is trippy !!!

These optical illusions occur because the brain uses "reference points" to make sense of the world. Check out this website for more cool illusions.

Pah! Who uses a mouse these days? :) My husband gets so mad when trying to work on my computer because I have a Wacom tablet.
