Just curious, can a Lightsphere (original) for a 580EX be made to fit a 550EX without damaging either the Lightsphere or the flash?

550 is larger than the 580 correct? So I sincerely doubt it, unless you can construct some sort of adapter, which would be possible.
Or you could always construct a "Mystery Modifier" out of a styrofoam icechest :-)

Okay, wasn't sure if the 550 was larger or smaller than the 580. I have the 580 and matching lightspere. I wanted to let Jemesen use it for his tests. But he has a 550 EX.
So from what it sounds like, we would need a different version. I figured if the 580 was bigger than the 550 we could fit it over and hold it with some tape.
Can anyone confirm which is larger? |

Yeah, the Lightsphere web site confirms that the 550 is larger.
