Hi all,

I took some suggestions that I got from all of you and applied them to the Rockport dingy file

Here is the origional: Here is the edited:

Which do you all like better, and how can I improve the edit version more.

Thanks
Rich

I like everything better about the revision with the exception of how the water at the top took on a green cast. Other than that, looks really nice.

I agree with routerguy - Try to make the water at the top the same colour as the water at the bottom.

I like the shot as is overall for subject theme. Having seen both the original and edited version a couple of things are interesting to note (not bad necessarily).

The cloning out of 'Lee' on the larger white boat is pretty visible seeing both versions - probably not so much if you didn't know it was there originally but could be cleaner.

The perspective has changed. At first I thought maybe you used another image for the edited version, but it's only that you stretched the canvas perhaps? The boats are wider in the edited version. Water color doesn't bother me much - it's natural, although it appears to have picked up a little grain/noise (top left).

I completely do not agree with the direction you're taking at all. I like the stains in the bottom of the boats, I like the bottle, I like the writing on the boat. I don't like the way it looks when you stretch it and make the boats fatter, they don't look right to me.

Here's a shot at how I'D be processing this one:

Keep it real, make it more-than-real. Anything else doesn't do it justice. Glory in the "imperfections".
