This is my first attempt. Our friends got married on the weekend and I thought I would have a go at making them a slideshow. Have your sound on :)

Honest opinions welcome :)

Nice job! I'm not really a fan of panning and zooming, but you did a good job of it. The music was very nice. Did you get releases or anything? That has always been a questionmark in my mind. I have grabbed songs from CDs in the past as background, but never felt right about it. What is the solution? |

I didnt get any releases. I am in the same boat as you, I have no idea. I have no plan on selling it so I guess that helps (nervous little giggle)

Lisa !
What a wonderful collection of shots. Tells the story well.
I like that you mixed it up in regards ot the pan & zoom effects and didn\'t do each the same way. Right before the actual ceremony, there was a sequence of color, zoom, switch to b&w and zoom back that works real well. Rebecca made a beautiful bride and you did an excellent job capturing her glowing smile and mood.
I did a slide show set to music some time ago and found one thing that makes a slideshow really stand out - starting or ending the motion at a strong focal point. Look at the image and find where your eyes go naturally, then start full shot and motion over to and zoom in tight on the focal point, or vice-versa, like start out in close on a set of eyes, then fade and motion outwards to full or near full shot. Takes a lot of trial and error to make it flow right without making a viewer seasick.
Near the end of your slideshow, you have a scene where Troy is getting the garter (I assume) and your progression of one shot to the next, to the next was rather quick, and really worked well in that situation.
Your fun shots at the reception light up the screen - what a great end to a happy day. |

Thanks Brad, they are so much fun to do. I am now doing another one. LOL. I hope to upload that too when i am done.
I really like the part with Troy and the garter, i wanted to create a feeling of it happening quick, I think it needed that. :)
Thanks for your comments :)
