I decided to make a evaluative comments on each of the purple images in this vote phase. I have it catagorized in 9 sections and an overall impression. The @#$@# has timed out and I lost ALL that I have typed on EVERY images as I was typing it. I had to redo everything and this costs me a ton of time.

You shouldn't have lost all of your comments as you can only comment on one image at a time. Right?

If you walk away from your pc for a while and come back it gives you an error screen that says you have 2 windows of dpchallenge open at the same time but I don't. When it does, it erases all you wrote.
So while I was typing (took a while) it timed out erasing it all.

Any time you are typing something lengthy, you should copy it to the clipboard before hitting the post/vote button.

I often have forum posts which were submitted "in time" but get stalled-out somewhere between my house and the server -- those data packets probably pass through anything from 4-20 other computers on their way; it's always more surprising to me when things just go through ...

Another option is to type your comments in a text-editor window.

This is what's throwing me off. What does "EVERY images" mean?

I don't know how you could have lost anything more than the 1 comment you were working on when it "timed out".

As GeneralE points out, putting the text in a clipboard (select all text then CTRL-C) can save you from losing what you've typed. It's become a standard practice for me with any text being "posted" - forum or image comments.

Been there, done that...I understand your frustration. :(
