While clearly out of my league at the stage of the game, I've quickly fallen behind too. Fortunately my stunt double has learned to work the camera. Hmmm. That might not be so good.

FFS, sometimes I just don't get this place!

Judi, let them be pent up, closet lookers while complaining. It doesn't take away from who you are or what you've done and will do. I hate that I'm away for a few days from here and have to come back to some pent up [individual] whining because they see a boob or heaven forbid a pube.
I'm a little surprised but whatever.

Thanks Sea and everyone else for your support. The ridiculous thing is there was NO boob or pube in that image. I understand about how kids and work viewers might be offended but why only pick on my small thumbnail and not other peoples. It was suggested that I post a different pic. Well in reply...NO! That photo is of me...and that is what this challenge is about. I abided by the site rules...so I will not change the image.

Wow again - some incredible entries lately and looks like some things are heating up in the thread, sparks are flying, there's a bit of group therapy in the air and this all makes for great daytime (or nighttime) drama.

I've got nothing for tonight for fear that any effort I put forth would be immensely overshadowed by Makka's post. ;-)

Tomorrow is another day. Maybe I'll get nekkid - I think one of my goals this year was to have a post removed by the SC. ;-)

It is just 60 seconds of one of the many ideas I have recorded on my workstation. It is still in the idea stage and far from polished. I did all of this and the drums are programmed. They are not the best but it's perfect time.

I'm not sure I understand your complaint at all. Really I dont. However I am one of the people that asked the SC to hide the photo behind the nudity filter. I dont personally have a problem with your photo or nudes in general. But due to the fact that their are children who read these sites I think the nudity filter is a great thing for DPC.

My 9 year old son has a love of my photography and I love to share it and DPC with him. Most nights he will sit on my lap for a while and we will discover what DPCers have done today. I especially like to show him the cool photos on the front page and in the forums. This SP thread has been a tricky one for sure, I love to show him some of the work that is being done here especially that of Louis who is apparently a genius with lighting. And I dont really want to explain to him why there is a collage of photos of a womans but or why she has her hand here or there. I dont think its too much to ask that if the photo should be in the nude category and behind the filter that it goes there. Dont take the complaints as personal take them as they were intended and thats to make the site kid safe so that if viewed by young ones its hidden. Please try to remember that while this may be the SP participants and your thread, its our DPC and we should all try to respect everyones needs for the site. I respect that you like to take nudes and put them up, please respect mine and allow the filters to do their job. Thanks.

I understand about wanting children to have a good DPC experience. And I think from Judi's perspective I imagine it would be difficult not to take it personally. I hope that we can let this pass and that hurt feelings will be mended soon.

I don't. DPC wasn't started as family site. The first year I was here it was a place where one could be expressive and creative. Waivers had to be signed to allow < 13 year olds, parents knew (and still do) what they were allowing.

Now before you even compose the shot one has to wonder whom they might offend.

Nothing against kids, I have two...all grown up and out of the house, but this sanatizing of DPC for the sake of the kids is not going to have a good effect on Art, Creativity and Expression. Knowing what DPC was about back then, and if my children minors, I never would have used them to change an entire community.

I should not have to walk on glass because this site is allowing a flood of children now. Our maybe the site is going the disney direction and it is time for me to move along.

Next they will go after the theme based photos for the sake of the children. Suicide, Guns, Questionable poses will all come under fire before too long because some people don't want their children exposed to some of the harsher realities of life...

I know let's do a Censorship SP today... :)

you'd better throw the TV out of the window then too.

I have no children, but I think I'd rather show them a nice, nude and artsy selfportrait of someone, then show them an episode of chin chan (or whatever his name is) and other cartoons. The violence children see these days in the cartoons on TV (specially made for children!!!) are MUCH worse then a picture here on DPC.
