It scored so low, I was wondering, does this look flat, washed-out to you? On my monitor the colors look vivid and the image has some nice range.. Or did it score low because of the actual content (or lack thereof?)

No complaints, just questions..

Thanks!

Not washed out. Looks like a bit of noise on the bricks though. Not sure if it is noise or just looks like noise. I think people here are really use to polarizer type skies.

I probably would've scored it a "5" and then adjusted as I went through the other shots. Did not vote.

Didn't use a polarizer, don't even have one. Changed the sat and contrast in camera.

I didn't vote in that challenge but I'm guessing people may not have thought this fit the challenge well. My eyes are led up but not to anything but a clear sky.

Btw faidoi, I didn't use a polarizer with my From the Ground Up III shot as I broke mine and it did well.

Alright, thanks. Just making sure I saw good color but no one else did because my monitor wasn't callobrated correctly

The color is good. I think you're just needing a little more light on the side of the building. I really like how the roof looks as it's brighter up there. Too bad you couldn't have spot edited it. It's a good photo.

...but it does have that deep blue in the building that some do enjoy seeing.

I scored it as a five. I thought that it was nice enough, but nothing special. To be fair the challenge overall had some amazing images in it and I didn't get a chance to go through everything again.

The question can be definitively answered if you have an "Auto Contrast" feature in your photo editing software. Most do. In your case you want to run "Auto Contrast" before you add the white border. I checked and yours is slightly 'flat' but not really bad. (Best of all, this test is monitor independent.)

As a final check after image processing it is always a good idea to run "Auto Levels", "Auto Contrast" and/or "Auto Color" against the image. Usually those checks show no changes. However, if you get a little carried away post processing you can change color and/or contrast in undesirable ways and this final check makes that obvious.

Btw, your image looks like it has a very slight green color cast. Removing that does not affect the blue color in the sky but makes the reds in the brick bolder and the image is a little warmer.
