Just in case someone had more money then they know what to do with. (These are expensive comparied to the cost of 2 or 4GB)

The Sandisk Extreme III 12GB and 16GB CompactFlash will be available in December with price tags of $779.99 and $1,049.99 respectively. Both cards will come backed with a lifetime limited warranty in the United States.

Of course I remember paying 500.00 for my 1GB CF chip a few years ago so....

The question is ... do you really want 12-16M "eggs" in one basket???

Well if you are shooting with a Phase One P45 MF back where each shot produces a 117MB file...that's only 100 shots or so per card... |

Just noticed my typo ... that would be 12-16G. :-) But yeah, you've got a point. I used to think 1G was pretty big until I upgraded to the Canon 5D. I can only get about 55 pictures on a 1G card. So 2G is now the minimum for me and 4G sounds even better.
