Well, you can read the thread for yourself - OP posts' included, as to the intent/direction of this thread. It's about guns, not a critique of the image.

As General said...the post is ABOUT a photo. If someone has a technical question, then that's fine. As is CLEARLY STATED ... and note that I even said please...please keep your opinions on guns and gun safety to yourself...or start your own thread.

Come on man...be a grown up here and just move on if you don't have anything to share about the picture or a technical question...you're just being disruptive on purpose.

I've heard some people say stuff like the XD is what the glock could have been if they wouldn't have stopped where they did.

I mean disasembly is insanely easy. unload, lock the slide back, flip slide lever, move slide forward, pull the trigger, and you're done.

I know lefties like it too because the magazine release is on the left and the right. It's also got three safeties, the trigger safety (like the glock), a grip safety, and the striker safety.

Yep. This sounds like it's about photography.

Whatever. It's your thread. Thought big brother was stepping a bit hard, that's all.

I look forward to reading the many critiques/feedback on your image in the next handful of posts here. Geez.

Big Brother was attempting to support the OP. Now BB has to go to a real job and can't babysit this thread anymore, so I expect you all to be on your best behavior while I'm gone ... : )

i like the shot. much better than my one and only gun photo... , but it's hard to make a cool looking shot w/ a small shotgun... pistols are so much more gangsta', but you work w/ what you have, and all i have is an old 410 bolt action...

haha yeah I like your photo. You're right though...I was already thinking of some of the stuff I've seen with 50-cent...but I'll be damned if I'm posting a picture of my white self holding that thing gangster style lol.

I liked that shot when I voted.

coming from you that is just funny.

I haven't owned a gun in a very long time and may never again (not anti-gun just anti children and guns) But I would choose a revolver myself. I always liked the feel and sexyness of a solid revolver. not to mention it is a good beatles album:) if the gun is big enough and you are good enough ( i earned expert marksman in rifle and pistol in the air force) you only need one shot, so I always wanted what I thought was a cooler looking gun. I guess it goes to show that age can sway that. I grew up with dirty harry and young ones today grow up with 50-cent and the like.

congrats on the new gun.

Only 'shot' I have of a gun, but that is some gun! I fired one of these quite a few years ago - boy was that fun! (not at anybody!)

Oh and nice photo Depee!

uhm... what did you think a 9mm was...a type of ruler? Come on man, please don't be disruptive.

Actually I figured it was some prime lens, this IS a photography site after all :P I like the shot though, except for whatever it sticking up in the lower left hand corner.

Actually, I thought it was about some kind of lens, too!

Cool composition.

What were your camera settings?

Can you set up to capture muzzle smoke, and brass ejecting at a range?

Hey Deapee,

Today I shot the following guns with my wife:

P90

Five-seveN, 5.7x28mm

FNP-9, 9x19mm NATO

& the FNP-40, .40

---

Definitely an interesting experience. Never shot anything about a 22 caliber. That said, I've always been a touch nervous regarding the kick of the heavier rounds. But it wasn't as bad as I expected. (Didn't hurt...accuracy is a totally other issue.)

Anyways, I kick myself because the wife brought the digital camera so we could take pictures and we totally spaced it out.

duh!
