No problem. Someone better could probably do more with the photo or if you get several other versions you could probably mix and match if others have better detail in different areas of the image. Good luck with it. |

---- and 1 hour later -->
Still have a ways to go. Trying to keep it looking like nothing ever happened to it with original tones & colors.
A lot can be done with this to improve it, but won't look original.
(700 pixel size for example purposes)

This is fantastic baseline work; Brad's created a version that's what we'd call "nominal", and now it's up to the OP to decide what direction he wants to take the image in PP. The anomalies have been cleared up, as if they never existed. Fine work, Brad!

Brad needs to write a book on car and photo repair.
Is there a way to fake the effects of a flash on the legs, or remove the effects of the flash on the torsos? Since the flash wasn't even, when the entire photo is given the same value, it gives me an unsettling feeling, almost as though I know something is not quite right, but I don't know what.
I saw a similar fix to this in a Scott Kelby book that he employed for combining photos into a panorama. The shots had different exposure values, and subsequently one was much darker than the other. Using Photoshop, he juxtaposed the photos, selected the darker of the two, then ran Levels on each channel individually by clicking on the individual channels under the 'Channels' tab. The end result was a matched-up panorama. That seems like an option here.

I sure wish Brad would just stick to cars. :P
That last edit of yours is pretty close to perfect and just needs some more darkening of those shadows. |
