Karmabreeze suggested it here on September 6th :-) I think it's a very original challenge topic, myself. I look forward to seeing some truly bizarre entries, and very possibly some thought-provoking ones as well.

I'm very surprised Bear didn't pick that up. It's a very common mistake - people confuse i.e. with e.g.. I expect Langdon will change the Challenge description in due course.
edit: Hmmm. I just read the original suggestion - it's quite possible that the original suggestion was specifically a carrot and yo-yo restricted challenge.

Gather exactly two objects that are completely unrelated (for example, a carrot and a yo-yo) and make some sort of sense out of their combination, photographically speaking.
As of 10:05 am (server time) this was the description. Apparently, it's been changed?

i.e. - id est - that is to say.

I meant it to mean "like" or "for example", which seems to be more common usage than "that is to say". I tend to use ie. and eg. interchangeably. Probably not good for someone who is supposed to be a university trained writer, but that's what the editing staff is for, eh?
Now the question is, can I come up with an idea for my own challenge suggestion?

Yeah, it's been fixed. Since Doc seemed to toss it in my lap, I lateraled it to Langdon last night in a heads-up message.

It sounds like the title will/could make or break the concept rather than "their combination, photographically speaking" much more challenging me thinks than 'title speaking' Perhaps with a manditory title like "object 1 & object 2 = sense photographically speaking" or titled hidden until voting is over...

Would that be accepted? Well, making the fish ride the bike will be the real challenge!
Anyway, I have another idea which is a play of words. It is often easier to find funny things in languages other than your mother tongue, so us non-english might have an advantage there!
Have several ideas, actually, PM to me if you need inspiration!

| Took my shot today. Tried one pair of items and the shot way stunk. Came across a couple of other items and they seemed to fit well even though they have nothign to do with each other. This could be a real pretty or real ugly challenge. |
