It has been suggested, and I think buried deep among other subjects, so I post this here and now with its own title. I think songs have great imagery, and should make great images. Where I differ from original suggestion is that I want to expand the challenge from Titles only to Titles and Lyrics. How long can the title of the photo be? I think we should have to put the lyric used, and the name of the artist/band.

Song titles would be cool.
P.S. Mark, I loved your pepper traffic light shot! Great.

Also lost in that thread was the idea that cultural diversity would make some works dificult to appreciate.

That's why I suggusted restricting it to just Beatles tunes. I think they are universal to english speaking people?

(I haven't listened to current pop in over a decade.)

I agree with you aelith - I think it would be a challenge to bring more disciplines of art together (audio into the visual realm)

When I first saw this, the first thing I thought of was Don McLean's American Pie. That evolved to the movie called American Pie which has a completely different visual associated with it. I really like the idea of visually depicting a song title, and I think that a related challenge could be movie titles.

In case you're wondering, I say a separate challenge because making visual representations of too many different types of media (music, movie, tv shows...) would get confusing to the voter.

But you'd probably get low votes, not many people are too familiar with 'the biscuits' (oh, but I am!)

You could always take a photo of someone demonstrating the Len Ganley stance!! ;-)
