The location Is Houma Civic Center located in Houma LA

The Event is A Cheerleader Competition

The postion were looking to fill is for a Team Portrait Photographer.

Not hardly, Its a competition 220 teams with 10-30 members per team, we needed someone to shoot team portraits just prior to each teams performance.

Wow... that's a huge event!

Imagine the logistics nightmare for the organisers!

I assume this is a state wide, or nation wide event to get that many teams, or do I just not know anything about cheering? :-)

believe it or not these events are pretty organized and they move the teams at a pretty good rate. As far at the team portrait photographer, they are an the staging area and the teams are automatically moved along a specific path all ready for photos... whats the difficult part is getting 30-40 shots of each team performing non stop ALL DAY... ALL DAY... ALL DAY, very few opportunities for breaks food or otherwise.

BUT, these events are very fun and rewarding when all goes as planned, which is about 50% of the time ;)
