Just thought I'd let you see the results of my first roll of film through my new toy. A 1974 Widelux F7 swing lens panoramic camera. The lens actually rotates whilst taking the shot.

Hope you like the results.

Oh!, I had the image scanned and then turned it into a quadtone image in photoshop.

Cool. Does it take regular size film or a different type?

Bought it from a friend in Japan for a very good price, but I wouldn't like to give much more info than that on the web, sorry.

It uses standard 35mm film and gets 20 frames out of a normal 36 exposure roll. When you wind on the frame, it tensions a spring, which as you press the shutter swings the lens from left to right exposing a tiny slot of the film as it goes. Amazing to watch.

did you scan it using a medium formay scanner? Just curious,

What angle of view are we looking at there?

There's one of these cameras sitting in the camera store I go to, it's been there and absolute age...

try using it on a tilt. you get the most amazing curvature in the images. my art college had one you could sign out - i did a whole seried of landscape/self portraits with it. ooo, boy, are you lucky. you're gonna have a whole lotta fun with it...
