I just checked my daughter's soccer schedule and this Saturday (and Sunday, for that matter) is out of the question for me. :-(
Oh well, maybe next time.

what they do is book up everything and open the tickets for sale at 9AM each day. Check it out tomorrow.

three? ok incluing jonPM, I guess that's four from here.
There's also two from POTN and another from LA Shooters I think.
so eight so far, including me.
If tickets are not available, default place will be Getty in Brentwood and not the Getty Villa in Malibu, but it shouldn't be a problem.

I will attempt to get tickets for the 3 in my group tommorrow. If you go 9 or over in group you would have to make special arrangements? If so don't let the 3 of us interfere. The two coming with me are co-workers not affiliated with dpc. One has a Nikon D200 and one has a point-and-shoot. Our three can be just as happy going to Getty Center as well as Getty Villa. The co-workers have never been to either.
Regardless of how this ends up, I reviewed your gallery and I am very impressed. I think you have a lot of talent and welcome the opportunity to meet you. If not this trip another one soon. |

they only release the tickets for that day, so you can get on for tomorrow in the morning, but not for any other day.
Hmmm, D200??? does he wanna trade it for a 30D? :)

That might eliminate us from going to the villa, reason being that I will be leaving my house (in Corona) about 7:30 am to meet them in Anaheim at 8:00 am. Plans are to eat breakfast then on to L.A. arriving sometime between 9:00 and 10:00 (knowing they won't open before 10:00 but early is ok).
What time is everyone else planning to arrive? Plenty of time between now and Saturday to firm up plans. |

10AM, I can order the tickets for you and if no tickets, I can call and we can all meet at Getty in Brentwood.

Tom unless the group I am going with cancels I would say not. The group I'm going with is up to possibly 5 people now. There also seems to be a good number of people from L.A. Shooters wanting to attend and some from DPC. Tickets +/- 30 minutes of the same entry time might be difficult to obtain for a Saturday and the max one person can reserve is 8.
I think the best resolution is for the group I am coming with to go on to the Center. I would be disappointed because I looked forward to being with your group, but regardless I will be with friends and will have an enjoyable day.
And of course being of human nature this is all subject to change. If the group I coming with cancels, and if one extra ticket is available I'll be wanting to tag along to the Villa. I won't have a definate answer until Friday afternoon.
I will send a private email to you with contact info for future reference if needed.
On a different note, wow LA Shooters has a very impressive membership!

I tried to call Getty Villa since all their days are unavailable on the internet this morning. They were busy, so I'll call them again. If they are all sold out, then we can meet at the Getty museum at Brentwood.

-Just an update. At 9:41AM, the site for tickets came online with tickets available for today. I was able to order 8 tickets. So I should be able to do the same on Sat morning. I will reserve 8 tickets and we can meet at the driveway by 10:30 just before the enterence so we can split up the tickets. Does that sound like a plan?
