I have an overnight in Maui on the 21st..

and a longer one on the 22nd.. I'll be arriving in Honolulu around 6pm on the 22nd, and all day on the 23rd if any of you are going to be around.. cant decide if I wanna rent a car and head to the N.Shore to shoot or take a surf lesson in Waikiki........

Just wondering if any of y'all will be there either for a drink or an hour or two of shooting?

R :)

was just there for a summer tennis program... beutifull...

you could take a morning durf lesson (its WAYYY more tiring then it seems)

then go driving to take pics, or you could do some surfing pics?

there are definitely some great photo ops to be had in hawaii, just dont skimp out on the fun while your there :)

If you can, go up and see the sunrise at the crater. Truly an awesome experience.

You can even get on a tour that will drive you up there, watch the sun rise, then bike down the mountain stopping for breakfast along the way. They supply the clothes (it is cold up there) and the bike.

You will not regret it.

forgot to say this, if you interested in doing an early morning (sunrise) of late afternoon (sunset hike) the famous diamond head mountain is a great hike, ita about 1.5 miles not to bad. And the view from the top is absolutely spectacular. heres a link to the mountain diamondhead mountain

and here is a gigantor panorama from the top of it

Thanks Dan and David,

I've been to Hawaii quite a bit now and am familiar with Haleakala and Diamond Head both.. agreed.. stunning.

I've done most of the touristy spots and even found Jaws.. (Peahi to the locals)

Just have a 50 hour layover between the two Islands and was looking to potentially meet up with a dpc'r or two ... simply because I could and my experience in Europe this summer has put the desire within' to continue making interesting connections.. I'm fortunate my job allows such opportunities ;)

Surf photography is where my passions lay.. and I've always had good luck on the N.Shore around Pipe... but I posted today in hopes of a coffee or drink and maybe some shooting.. :)
