My oldest daughter, Sarah, makes a great mode.... except for
1. The boo boo
2. It's her way or shes not playing anymore
3. She has an attitude (see #2)

She was wanting her picture taken (NOW!) and I needed to work on a few of my PS skills (okay, alot) so I shot a few shots and played around with them.... My question, how can I make them better? Or what am I doing wrong... Thanks

I liked #4. The expression is adorable and the angle makes her look like she needed a hug or something. Kids can be fun subjects to shoot - they are so full of energy!

Hang in there. Here's what you can look forward to when they get older:

She loves hamming it up in front of the camera. She's been like that since her preschool days. BTW, she's not too shabby behind the camera either!

Some folks just aren't good models at all. My other (youngest) daughter generally doesn't like her photo taken. She will get darn-right upset sometimes.

Sounds like someone needs a visit from the tickle monster! :D

I think #4 is the best shot. Her look goes with the boo boo and she's looking into the lens. To make it better, move her away from the background to get rid of the shadow behind her head. Larger catchlights in the eyes would help too.

Lucky you! Take advantage of that while you can. My daughter was a big ham too, until she became a teenager. Now I'd have to handcuff her to a chair to get a photo of her.

Looks great to me! If you want to be really picky, you could work on where the few hairs come down on the left side (they seem to be moved) and there is a slight bit of discoloration (to the right of where the main mark is, on the old shot) that still remains.

Yeah, you did a good job but your child abuse will eventually be discovered. :)

Yeah, Guess I'm gonna have to DHL all 6 kids to steve :)

Can you believe she did that on carpet? My new arguement for no wrestling in the house, outside, anywhere.....not that any of them listen to it. :)

edit for spelling

Thanks! That's one of my favorites. It's an 8x10 framed photo in our house. (one of many)
