Savage is now free.

It is a multiplayer (up to 64) RTSS (real time stragety shooter)..

I never heard of this game b4 today, but came across the link..

Maybe a few DPC'ers will download it and one of us can host a game and check it out..

I hosted a game, just so I could check out the graphics and its pretty smooth.

So anyone up trying to figure this game out?

heres the link, lemme me know..

From What I can gather you can take one of 2 roles-- either a commander-- thats the RTS part, or a warrior type dude, thats the FPS part.

to play you need at least one of each-- I havent read any game guides or anything, but I know it looks pretty cool..

heres a better explantion

Choose to be a commander and you will play an in-depth RTS managing the stronghold, or choose to be a warrior and you will play an intense game of first person combat. With the creation of a new game play genre, RTSS (Real Time Strategy Shooter), Savage expertly redefines the first-person shooter and real-time strategy genres by combining elements of both into one cohesive experience. As the commander in RTS mode, you will tackle resource management, develop a robust tech tree, plan your assault and lead real human players into battle. As a warrior in action mode, you will master many unique weapons, powerful units, and siege vehicles to fight a fast paced battle.

oh well I don't game, but I was a big fan of MUD'ding (multi user dimension - I believe...but it was text-based) for a VERY long time. I missed a lot of school and work because of it hahaha.

I am under the impression that this is about the same thing, only graphical? I'm downloading it, gonna give it a shot.

Am I correct in assuming that I will be playing against other real people, and there are NPC (non player chars) just like there were in MUD's...???
