With an EOS to FD converter, it may well work. A better question would be "is it a piece of crap?" For that price, it's hard to imagine it being anything other than a mess of plastic and glass that has very dubious optical quality.

Was a pretty damn good lens in its time. And yes, with the included FD adapter should work with the Rebel. You'd get some awesome reach.

Remember though, it is going to be fully manual.

It's one of the finest FD Canon telephotos, L-quality, 600mm f/4.5, if the glass is clean it should work fine with the FD to EOS mount adapter; albeit completely manual.

Counsel withdraws the question.

This is one of the few lenses that an FD-to-EOS adapter would actually be useful for. In fact, these "super telephotos" are why Canon camy up with the converter in the first place; to allow pros to use their FD super-tele lenses on EOS cameras.
I do believe that the converter acts a bit like a teleconverter in that the effective focal length is increased. Don't quote me though, I may be wrong on this.
At this price, it seems like a good deal, if the optics are free of fungus and in otherwide good shape. Seems otheriwse in great shape.

Well, if you buy it and don't get on with it I'll pay the shipping to the UK :)

Current bid $666, "reserve not met"; I wonder what the reserve is, anyway? How high should one be willing to go?

That was what I was wondering, assuming this lens is in good shape, what's it worth?

Man, I want that lens.

That's only about 960mm 35mm equivalent on your Rebel. Better find some open places to shoot :-)
