I had a day off work and I went out on the trains on a day trip ticket to photograph color
I ended up with a mixed bag of shots including some B&W shots :)

I̢۪m trying out a very easy to use slide show tool called soundslides which is designed for photojournalism style presentations but with this show I have just used a piece of music, some of the photos do not fit with the theme music and I still have to add a beginning and end text slides to the show

my host is a bit slow so allow a little buffering before you click on the play button

Slide Show

have a look and tell me what you think of the show and the software

The photos are great.

I tried to endure the "music" (read: weird noise), but couldn't. There is no volume/mute control on the slideshow, which is not good.

The transitions were smooth, but monotonous - in a slideshow that long, it is nice when there are a few changes like zooming or panning here and there. As it is, I find it too much the same, for too long.

Do you have a link for the slideshow tool?

For volume control I just use the volume control on the speakers which is how I though it worked anyway.

As far as the type of music I think it fit the images quite well.

I do agree with Beetle about the transitions though. Mixing it up a bit makes the slideshow more interesting.

thanks for the feed back

the software is designed for news papers to put photos up with taped interviews not music as I used. so the photos are meant to be secondary to the recording and that is why they just use plan transitions
but it works as a quick slide show tool and is very easy to use

you can find it here if you want //soundslides.com/
