So, since tomorrow is my birthday, I just got the panic phone call from my last-minute-present-shopping wife. These sorts of calls always please me, because a desperation shopper is most willing to spend the extra money to get 'er done.

It turns out the wife is in a photography shop and is looking at those collapsible reflectors. She wants to know what to get regarding colours on the two sides, White & Silver, or White & Gold.

Any advice?

:-)

I think it costs about $150. I remember seeing a cool little light tent there that may be comparably-priced. Maybe that would be more fun?

Anyway, she's giving the rest of the day to consider a choice.

In my non-educated opinion, I'd go with the white and gold. The silver would give off too much color like the white, whereas the gold will give you the bronzish look. BTW, happy birthday.

White/ Silver

Also:

We share something. If you don't know the answer pm me slippy and I will tell you.

I got a very nice light tent for around $50 on the web. Collapsable, with interchangeable backgrounds which were about $7 each. If intertested, I can find the link for you.

And happy birthday, in advance :)

I'm extremely instant-gratification-oriented, so I rarely order anything. I did buy a white sheet last weekend, with the hopes of building something myself with coathangers & duct tape. But usually when I get into projects like that, things can get ugly, very, very ugly. ;-)

I suppose it's a US site? Duty on stuff crossing the border is a killer.

You can have her get anyone she likes and send it to me so I can check it for you.
If it's not the right color, Home Depot is around the corner and I'm sure they have some "oops" paint mixes for a good price.
I won't even charge you for the roller I'll be using...

Whatcha' say old buddy old pal - can I help you out of your dilemma??
Huh ? Huh?

If it's not too late, might I recommend the 38" White, Silver, Gold...three-in-one, cheapy. It's a good deal and perfect for semi-pro use.

Happy Birthday!

Thanks, but the task is up to my wife to find something (tomorrow while I'm slaving at work).
