Just noticed the three ribboners in "Simple Pleasures" are sepia-toned (and my first ribbon in "Rope" was, too). Is this going to be a new trend or just coincidence?

sepia has been around for ages
me think it is just coincidence (worked well for those photos)

Yeah I guess it's a coincidence although I like to use sepia a lot in my expression pictures.

To me it's not so much a coincidence as it is a natural affinity for the particular challenge. "Simple Pleasures" has a sort of warm, old-timey sense to it, ya know? I think it's no surprise that so many images went the sepia route, because that carries the same emotional overtones as the challenge title...

I tend to favor sepia over b/w these days since the sepia action in Nikon View is so darn purty. It seems to really highlight the texture of objects and bring out a 3-D element that the b/w action just does not.
