I hate having to still use dial-up because high speed is still not available yet where I live. It makes it such a pain to look at photos and other sites because it takes like 10 secs to load one photo...and that's just a small one. lol Does anybody else here share my pain. :( haha

I'm not sure if this goes in rant or here so I put it in general discussion. If it needs to be moved please do so...

Make that at least 2 of us. We recently moved. I went from a DSL to a slow dial-up, very painful to say the least. I just keep my fingers crossed that I can get my entries to up-load before I get dumped. Voting is very slow and not fun at all!

Add me to the list. And my dial up is not traditional either. Im connected to a cell phone and going that route, very slow at times.

I found a piece of property last year and when i found out they didnt offer internet through the cable company. I refused to even consider buying it. Dial up sucks.

hey bex85, steveh552, and Catilyn...i'm in the same boat.

not avalible here as well... lines are run for DSL and we refuse to buy any of the ripoff comcast stuff...but they stoped work due to get this, "low to no demand" yeah right...there just to cheep to "get er done"

so yeah...

hey dosen't it suck when...
- commenters challenges come up and you simply have fallen to far behind to even dreem of catching up and submitting on you connection.
or
- your in crunch mode and your image gets bumped out of the challenge cause the page takes to long to load and the site rolls behind your back.
or
- when a free study comes up with over 600 submitions and you don't even hit 20% by the end of voting.
i even devoted 2hrs a day once with commenting i will admit. nothing counted cause i only got to 19%.

anyhow i just thought i would share that i to am contemplating moving into a cafe with free wifi...

I know how you guys feel. I had dial up until last year. We moved in to the city and now I got cable. By jeez, dial up is so slow. They should only charge like $3.00 for that stuff..

What I did, buy a laptop and go to Panera Bread and other hotspots to download and surf.
