Guess who's coming to dinner tomorrow night?

Ernesto! I'm busy making preparations, getting the steaks, wine, some good bread, water (definitely need water), more wine....

I'm sick of this! By Wednesday morning I'm going to have 3000 trees laying on the ground in my nursery in spiral patterns. I might decide to lay them down gently tomorrow before Ernesto violently tosses them around.

Oh well, that's what crop insurance is for. I'll just enjoy the next couple of days off watching the wind whip across the lake and drink the wine.

Hey Robert! I was just wondering what your plans were. 3000 trees?! That's a lot of work. Hope you have help.

Mmmm in less than 4 hours I will be able to pour myself a tall glass of something strong.. kiss this work month goodbye and chill for the next 4 days

Open to drink suggestions: a bottle of jack sounds inviting or perhaps my tried and true vanilla vodka ... but willing to entertain the idea of anything ....i'll check back once i've landed back in town :)

It's a lot of work, but they range in size from 2 to 16 feet. So it's manageable for my crew of 6. I've just started looking at the factors guiding this storm and I'm thinking that it might slow down a bit and then go over the western Bahamas instead of us.

I'm pretty good at seeing these things and I'm starting to feel a little better about this one.

I hope you're right. We're battening down the hatches, just in case it swings up this way. Either way, there should be some new treasure washed up on the beaches, here. If nobody hears from me for a while, that's because I'll be spending my newfound riches;)

Just saw this post. Sorry for the delay.

To answer your question, I'm prone to pick up just about anything that I can find on or in the ground. Most of the artifacts I have are Native American; including points, scrapers, pot sherds and a huge perfect mano y metate that I found in NM.

I've never looked for Civil War stuff, though I plan to have a metal detector in the near future. Used to dig for bottles, but haven't done that for a long time. Sold most of my bottle collection, except for a few of my faves. How about you?

Sorry Kevin, I've been working hard and drinking seems to slow me down;) I'll be back soon.

They were sold out and everything else you had to wait cuz they were on back order. Hey you busy this weekend??? lol j/k so what about my beer???

On a seperate note, I just did the exhaust on my truck with makes it even louder and when I roll up to my friends house his wife greets me with the kid in one arm and an ice cold beer in the other. Man he's got a good wife. Even better for me cuz he doesn't drink so the beers are always cold.

No the kids not mine thank god altho it is quiet which is nice. Every day I learn something new. Today I learned that you shouldn't use pledge on floors as it makes them extremely slippery.

Whats a Copper Hill kit???

Pledge on floors...big NO NO! I learned that the hard way, too (many years ago;) Sounds like you had better take some cleaning classes before you show up here in the French maid's outfit!

Its normally ok cuz I live alone and can walk around naked but man when you got socks on... whatch out baby I can go from the kitchen to the bedroom in one good push off with a bottle of wine and 2 glasses. As for the cleaning classes its a learn as I go and hope to remember for nthe next time situation. As for the french maids outfit well... we'll see if someone brings it to the GT this weekend.

So I looked down at the can
And it was offerin̢۪ me nothing but a sly grin
And an empty promise

And I pulled myself out of the artificial world
I had created just an hour before

And made my way to
The source of it all

‘know where I can find sam adams?’
asked a man who found me approachable
I guess I had that face
Just not when I wanted to

‘I think the beer store sells beer’, I say,
met with his silent complacency.

And then he informs me that there is more beer
Elsewhere in the building
Not that I asked.

‘must not be worthy of the freezer over there,’ I says,
to his painful smile

And as I circled around looking for my own elixir
Something to kill the pain and stop the thought
I sees this young thing coming

And she almost passes through me walking
Any less acknowledgement
I don̢۪t believe

Is possible.

The man behind the counter
Studied me for a moment,
As if he could smell my age falling off
Or my lips
Coated with social medicine

‘you have a nice day,’ he says, with a suspicious twang
‘oh you too,’ I answer, thanking God I wasn’t behind
some counter
on a Sunday afternoon

I need a drink.

Today has been bad. I was pulled over and ticketed on my bike for numerous offences going to Best Buy.

Then I ran out of gas leaving Best Buy and had to walk myself and the bike about a half a mile to a gas station. Not a good day.

Oh well, it will get better. :)

Talk about having a bad day... I went to visit a cousin last weekend before his stag and parked my truck on the street infront of his house. An hour later in walks a lady and asks if that was my black truck on the street. I told her it was and she said someone just creamed the side of it. Not knowing this lady I said I don't take jokes like that kindly and she said don't shoot the messenger. I look and there's not that much damage. So I put my truck in his driveway go to his stag as we had a DD and then I get stranded 45min away and had to call for a ride. The worse part is I didn't know where I was to get a ride and had no idea where I had parked or where to go to. Needless to say its been a monday since then. So, if sat was a monday and today is monday but feels like wed. does that mean I can have my weekend starting on thurs.???

I need a jug of beer, a funnel, 2 feet of hose and keep the beer coming every 10min until someone passes out then bring them every 5min.
