"Chemistry deals with the structure, behaviour, composition or properties of substances, or the reactions between these substances. Show some chemistry in your photo, but try not to blow anything up in the process. "
I think there are a few people on this site who would enjoy blowing things up (it possibly comes in the "burning viallges" category ... ;-)))) |

I'm trying to think of what type of shot I can shoehorn into these challenges and I have to admit I'm comming up blank...
Now if only the challenge was school days: geology - then we could just do nice boring landscapes but no, now we have to think and try to be creative.

hmmm.. the challenge description states nothing about "schools" or "kids", only Geometry and Chemistry.. this could spark some flames when it's time to vote.. |

I doubt it, the description doesn't mention school, just the title.
"Creatively capture one or more of these geometric elements in your photo."
"Show some chemistry in your photo"

I plan on shooting a subject with strong lines and geometric details. It won't have anything to do with school.

That one IS gonna take some thought, for sure :-) It's not your average, cookie-cutter challenge...

I've ammended the challenge description to read "...but try not to hurt yourself in the process" since we don't want to discourage any wonderful looking explosions. |

ahhh...much better. Thank you Langdon.....not that it's going to be my photo if I do decide to do it...it was just a thought that went through my head. |

I'm definitely looking forward to voting in this one. This is a great subject for all the studio-ish shooters! |

Good call, Langdon! But can you handle the liability issues that will surely arise as photographers' homes all over the world disappear in colossal explosions during the next few days? jejejeâ¢

I'm imagining a Woody carrying a small biochemical weapon of ducky destruction.
Edit: Why is my typing becoming so bad?

I thought the original admonition about not blowing anything up was tongue in cheek... |
