So I don't process things 'clean' so much, and I haven't had so much experience processing things out of my dSLR yet, I was just wondering what you guys thought of this image?

I'm not sure I like it as dark as I made it, but it was kind of hard because there were a lot of overblown areas. Any suggestions?

Either one is nice imo. I like BW photos but I don't know if it adds anything to process it that way. Think the shot overall would be a little snappier if the hands were in focus and not the guys tshirt. Processing looks good though, nice job. |

I really like the black and white one. It really stands out to me. Nice processing. |

Thanks for your comments.
I really wish I used a wider DOF so I could have had his hands in focus as well, but I haven't gotten the hang of shooting on the fly with this camera yet. I like his shirt and the details like his necklace and hair in sharp focus, and I suppose his hands look like they have a little bit of motion blur on them so I don't take is as too much of a tragedy...but it's definitely something I'll look out for in future shots.
I'm working on somewhat of a series, so I have a bunch of shots of this band; I thought I'd like to have a few black and white shots and I think this pose just worked well as black and white. When I have the other ones done I'll post them up as well, too.

thanks.
(i cloned in some 'background' in order to give definition to his right shoulder; the shirt was blending in too much :D)
