My daughter will be turning 10 in a few weeks and wants to have a science experiment party!
Does anyone know any simple science experiments that have real wow factor and dont cost alot?

here's some more, courtesy of google ;-)

i don't know about where you are, but around here, there's a company called 'mad science' that actually does birthday parties. pretty wild stuff, and not terribly expensive.

how about the mentos diet coke reaction... it is fun for me...and has scientific basis..

you drop a few mentos in a diet coke bottle and a gas+coke will rush out of the bottle in a cool fountain...
