We are looking good for Garson Deck.
James,
It shouldn’t be a problem to arrange this. I will send you a letter and notification a few days before September 16th so that everyone is adequately prepared. Will you send me another email that week to confirm plans? I know the weather can sometimes cause delays.
Thank you,
Cara
And for anyone interested that wasn't there last time these was taken from the top level of Garson Deck:
And this from Jackson Street Bridge:

Well, our children will have to eat oatmeal for the next month, but we got a room at the Westin.
I talked to the desk-person about getting a higher floor, but we will have to take our chances the day of check-in, so we will be trying to arrive early. Of course everyone will be welcome to stop by the room, and we are only charging $19.95 admission - or the use of a really nice Nikon lens, or a six pack of... well, you get the idea.
Seriously, we can't wait to meet everyone, and are more than happy to share/help in any way we can. If anyone is interested in taking pics of the city during daylight hours, feel free to ask!

Hey, nothing wrong with oatmeal. :-)
Sounds like you guys got some nice digs while you're here. Cool! Looks like this is turning into a great GTG! |

Well the Westin you can see from Centennial Olympic Park. Why would you need a property release?
I think rossbilly said we could shoot from his room if he getshigh enough. But you must bring a case of beer. :)

:( I miss Atlanta. Until 2 years ago, I worked near the top of the Bank of America building. The city at night. Midtown. Buckhead. Not that I don't love Florida now, but most of my life was there. Wish I could join you guys.

Cindi, I have a great idea!
Why not give yourself a birthday present & come join us for the Atlanta GTG? (wait, that would be like giving US a present) Hehe - ya can't blame me for trying.
Happy 28th! ;)
(sorry, couldnt decide which thread to put this in...)

Hmmmm, they may have to widen the parking deck. This was just with 5 or 6 of us and we took up almost the whole wall with all the massive tripods! :-)
Oh yeah, I warn you that I like to take pictures of people's backsides. Just lettin' ya know now! :-D
So what time is the keg party at the Westin?? Just kidding.... :-)

Jen - wow girl, straight from a six pack to a keg... I knew I'd like you (our daughter is named Jennifer, and is a redheaded wearer-of-freckles too).
Ummmm - some of us have ::AHEM:: gained some weight after quitting smoking... this means you will need a W I D E lens in order to photograph our posterior! Then again, ol' cheese-butt himself won't be joining us, so at least you should be safe from being 'mooned'... LOL
Oh, and the party at the Westin should begin about 1/2 hour after the last 'tourist' shots (pictures) are taken; then the OTHER shots could begin!
(jk - we are both lightweights when it comes to alcohol...) |

Ok, so what's the official GTG info. Where's everybody meeting up, what time, are we doing dinner or just beer, etc...
I'm really looking forward to this weekend.

I am a bit confused. Is there more to dinner than beer? |

@Eric - Of course not! :)
@Rex - AM NOT!! :-) and yes, provided ankle-biter sitter is available as grandma is not. :(
@Larry - Nope, I was in San Diego that weekend so I sadly missed it. I've been checking out your shots though and am bummed that I couldn't get there this year.
So are we actually eating dinner? |
