Ok...About a month ago I posted to forums saying "I scratched my sensor using Copperhill cleaning method". I posted some shots...took responsibility and moved on. The scratch is at the top and can only be seen on high apps and does not bother me.
Now...without even cleaning I see another scratch...
This photo has no editing done to it...
I tried cleaning and it will not clean. I can see it on the sensor with the naked eye! HOW DID THIS GET THERE???? ARGHHHHHHHHH....
My cam is doomed !!!!!!!! |

Jeez! How did you scratch it without even trying to clean it and messing up? I'm never letting you hold my D200! :-)
I think it's a self-destruct program in your D70, timed to scratch itself when the D80 is released. Time to succumb to the forces that be, my friend. |

Are you sure that is a scratch... looks kinda like a smudge or streak.

At first I thought it was a smudge...(but how would that have gotten there?)...the I tried cleaning it off with Copperhill but it did not budge!..
...this baby is visible at almost all appatures.!!!!
If I can't get rid of it...I'll order a D80 and get it sometime next year....
...BUT I CAN'T FIGURE OUT WHERE THAT SCRATCH CAME FROM!!!!

That sucks.. Did you try the scotch tape method that Deapee has posted about? I used it on mine, it worked pretty well. It did leave some residue once, but I cleaned it again and it came off. |

I doubt it is a scratch, i had one like that once and it took me 4 goes to clean the bugger off and i really had to give it some stick.
