Dadas, your outtakes are maddeningly, out-of-this-world beautiful! Btw, on your profile you show a most enviable list of equipment. Assume you had the 1D before the 10D; so why did you buy the 10D? Do you know the Canon Fairy by any chance? If so, could you do a good word for me? :)

Wow!!! Those are fantastic shots! I'd give those 9's for sure. You picked something else for your submission? I'd like to see what it is because if it's better then these you'll probably win for sure! |

I bought the 10D because I wanted something light to carry to work mainly. I also wanted teh 1.6x crop factor. The 1D is definately another class of camera but the 10D is no slouch at all. I am very impressed with the AF that Canon put in it but it does have a slight tendancy to blow out the highlights if you aren't careful. It was worth every penny of the $1350 that I paid for it.

i'm glad you edited your post to embed some of the shots in it, or else we would have missed them. those are fantastic! as was evidenced by your 'Clash' picture as well, you really have a knack for capturing insects!!!!
p.s. what lens(es) did you use?

Wow!!! dadas115, do you work for National Geographic?? These are very impressive images. Can you share your technique on how you got so close without scaring the butterfly away? Besides having 2 Canon slr. |

For my shot I picked something completely different at the last minute. It probably won't do as well as one of my outtakes would have but I liked the one I submitted better.

Wow - fantastic ! If those are your outtakes, I'm going to be blown away by your submission.

I was getting so many positive comments on my flying Feathered Rat that I decided to try it again a few days ago...
