is in stores already. Was at the Best Buy today and they have them in stock. $899.95 with kit lens. It's small and light weight like the XT. I like the 2.5" LCD on the back. The 9 AF points are a nice edition also. Other than the upgrades, it looks and feels like the XT pretty much. If I didn't want a 5D so bad, I might consider buying this. If you are up-grading, from a P&S and are new to dSLR's or a 300D, it's a nice little body for the price.

$899.99 seems a bit pricey even for the kit.
On Canadian sites the price is $949 for the body and $1099 for the kit.

| I'll bet if you bought a couple at best buy you could make a profit reselling them on ebay ;) |

The price is very reasonable and especially competitive with the D80. Canon's kit lenses leave something to be desired, but quality is much more in the hands of the photographer anyways.
The XTi is well worth considering for those entering the DSLR market, and this is what Canon is shooting for. Great camera for the money, as is the D80. |

That's what I was thinking. The XT when released sold for $999.99 for the kit. The XTi is priced $100 below that. It has more MP and features than the XT. What a difference a year makes.
