i've been getting cyber-harrassed by picture.com and poetry.com (both mysteriously located at the same PO box address) to be part of international symposiums, give speeches about my work, pay for my work to go into official coffee-table hardcover books, the whole nine. I looked twice when I first got the messages, as I have actually won a contest before and actually received a good prize, but laughed it off after.
However picture.com actually sent me some kind of 'first prize' medal in the mail, which they claim is pure silver. it's somewhere around here.

no experiences with that! but it smells pretty fishy to me!
SUPER COOL PIC THOUGH!!!! I put it into my faves... and thats not a scam :)

they have published two of my photos in the coffee table books, both times asking me to buy them for a special price of 7o dollars. i was also invited to a photography convention, but i had to pay my way there. i've ignored them, but they keep asking me.
