Get your 2 year old watching thomas the tank engine, escpecially the one about dirty Percy. The things that come out of thier mouth afterwards are priceless, and thier pronunciation is even better. I took my boy to the store, and he was yelling "I want that dirty percy" "Look at percy mom" "that percy is green" "thomas likes percy" and many many more.
I love kids. |

hehe. mispronunciations are the best. when travis (now 4 1/2) was about two, he went through a period where all his "s" sounds were "F," especially beginning s-sounds.
We were on a trip through Cades Cove, TN and he decided to teach his stuffed dog, Huggy Pup, to drink his sippy cup. He was trying to say, "Suck it, Huggy Pup, you have to suck it." But, well, the "s" came out as "f." I laughed until I cried. Even my MIL (who would never ever ever ever use such words, and is greatly offended to hear such) cracked a smile. |

coleman to english translations :
"faffle" = waffle (here's his tutorial on making them)
"pippos" = hippos (i posted his photo of them in another thread)
"fwack fwacks" = crackers, though he's improved on this one recently
"hep jew" = help you, as in let me help you make the choc choc
"choc choc" = chocolate milk
"chelichoper" = cookie cutter... that's probably not a very good phonetic spelling of what he's saying, but i swear it sounds like helicopter than cookie cutter...
"i get my cheese" = can i have my camera
and many many more...
