OK, so I just (today) purchased a copy of The Matrix on DVD -- part of my decision to do so was based on the fact that they are offering free tickets to see Matrix Reloaded.
Now I neglected to see that it was a mail-in offer since I'm used to these free tickets being in the box, but hey, that's my bad.
When I opened the box to see the details of the offer, however, I found out that I had to purchase it between 29 April 2003 and 30 May 2003. I WHAT!!???? I purchased it 4 days TOO EARLY??!!??? Nothing on the outside of the box mentioned an offer start date (though they did say the offer ended at the end of May), so I'm a little peeved. (Hence this rant.)
I wrote a slightly nasty letter to Warner, we'll see how they respond.
Anyway if you see these copies of the DVD and are thinking, "Sweet, free ticket, I'm all over that," make sure to wait so your receipt has the correct date on it. (I'm seriously considering creating a fake receipt since this is so ridiculous...)
