Perhaps its inappropriate here, but I just wanted to note that I've received some really helpful comments on my images this week. They have been friendly and almost all have been very helpful.
So "THANKS!" for your suggestions; I've learned a lot this week!

DITTO I have had nothing but wonderful comments this week....almost afraid to say it but in the flora challenge I haven't had a single bad comment this week and I have 21 comments as of right now. |

I'm disappointed. I've only gotten just 1 comment so far out of 153 votes in the fauna challenge. I'm hoping that maybe some will go back as I do and comment. I've been disappointed in my score so far on a picture that I felt was one of my best and I haven't had enough feedback to determine why. 5.55 when I hoped to finally get up in at least the 6's. Oh, hummm! I do have 10 comments out of 123 votes for my flora entry and most all of them have been helpful, so I guess I shouldn't really complain.
One thing I'm very impressed with is the number of excellent photos that I've seen this week, so maybe it's just the tough competition. I have scored 10's on 8 photos and about that many 9's in fauna. That's a major record for me.

I think, like the landscape challenge, the subjects are ones that people find it easy to comment on, and enjoy commenting on.
I don't want that to take away from all the effort that is going into putting quality comments on so many entries though. Thank you. This will likely be a record week for 'Useful Comment' ticks : ) |

| I'd like to jump on here as well if I may. This is my first challenge entry and though I haven't had loads of comments they've all been really helpful and hopefully I'll be able to use this advice on my next entry. Thank you. |

I've gotten some pretty nice comments as well on my photo. Some really nice words from Setzler and Autool, which I'm thankful for cause I feel they've been a big part with their comments and tutorials in helping me become a better photographer, as well as everyone else here.

Pretty average from where I'm sitting. 11/122 in the members and 4/156 in the open. Some nice ones though.

| I've been sitting here all week trying to be patient and not get to excited a few weeks ago I got excited when I first saw my scores Sunday night at a 8.0 to watch it plummet and end up with a 5.5, so this week when I saw a 7.5 the first time I checked my score I crossed my fingers and just hoped. Well next time I checked my scores I was down to a 5.8 but I feel with 122 votes and 22 comments now it is safe to say that I am going to have over a 6, I got a 6.4 right now and I am so happy with that cause I know how many people just miss a 6 and seek it out and here I am looks like I got it. I'm just waiting now till Sunday night to address a frequent comment I have received on my entry. |

| I've gotten more comments than usuual this time, and very consistent too (one photo good, one photo bad). Both the positive and negative comments have been helpful, which is the most important thing (thanks!), which has the added benefit of encouraging me to leave more comments myself. |

My comments are consistent, but the votes aren't. Most of the commenters call it an 8 or 9, but the vote is a 6.1.
Odd how that works.
(I did get one person who just left the comment: "ok".)

I only have 5 comments on fauna - so I'm hoping all of you that have received comments are going through and leaving them, too. That's the only way everyone gets them. I have made about 120 this week, and still going.

I agree, I've recieved great comments but have a score of 5.5. I think this is where a voters personal opinion shows. It may be a "good/great" photo, but maybe didn't score as well because it just wasn't that appealing to the voter. This is just my fourth challenge so I'm still trying to figure it out!
